In Attendance:  Mr H Hobhouse (District and County Councillor), Mr J Crossley (District Councillor), two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), the Clerk and six members of the public.

1. Apologies: Mrs M Montgomery and Mr H Russell.

2. Minutes of the Previous Meeting held on 10th January 2008 were accepted and signed as a true record.

3. Police Community Support Officer Report:  The PCSO reported that there had been a total of twenty-five incidents recently reported within his area; six were in North Cadbury.  Two of the six incidents reported were burglaries, two reports of criminal damage, one domestic assault, and one abandoned 999 call.

9. Disorderly Conduct:  (item brought forward for the convenience of the PCSOs) Matthew Tailby (PCSO) discussed with the PC and members of the public present, the recent spate of vandalism and disorderly behaviour within North Cadbury.  He advised that any incident of this type must be reported on 0845 4567000, so that the situation could be carefully monitored and appropriate action taken.
A member of the public informed the PCSO that youths were crossing Brookhampton on scrambler bikes and riding along Ridgeway lane, a restricted byway.  The youths were then riding their bikes around the neighbouring fields.  The riders had been informed that the riding of bikes on the byway was prohibited, however, they continued to trespass.  A number plate had been noted from one of the bikes and given to the PCSO who was also given the names of the suspects possibly involved in the recent incidents.  The PCSO agreed to trace the number plate and speak to the local landowners.
