The bus conforms to all health and safety regulations which the County Council requires for minibuses carrying schoolchildren
Hirers usually provide their own driver, who must comply with current DVCL regulations and have received the required minibus driver training, be over 21 years old and have held a current licence for at least two years. We can arrange for training on request. If your group does not have a driver still give us a ring - we may be able to help find one for you.
Volunteer drivers needed!
We hope to build up a small team of volunteer drivers who can drive for groups (especially groups which include people with mobility problems) that cannot provide their own driver.
The new bus has a hydraulic tail-lift and the facility to remove seats to allow access for wheelchair-bound people. If you are interested in the possibility of joining our team, please ring Laura Tilling on 01963 351461.
Training can be provided.
The Association is grateful for funding towards the new bus from: the Countryside Agency, Somerset County Council, Castle Cary Town Council, and the Parish Councils of Ansford, North Cadbury and Carymoor.
There is a qualified volunteer driver in North Cadbury Please contact Parish Clerk for details
