North Cadbury Village Hall 200 Club

The 200 Club through its lottery raises funds for the refurbishment and improvement of the Village Hall. The lottery is registered with South Somerset District Council under the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976.

Lucky Numbers are available for £12 each representing twelve entries into the monthly draws for cash prizes which at present are £50, £10 and £5 with an additional cash prize in December. The exact amounts are fixed in accordance with the regulations when subscriptions are in and the more income the bigger the prizes! Draws take place at a coffee morning on the last Saturday in each month in the Village Hall. At present there are some 120 Lucky Number holders and there is plenty of room for more. Holders don’t have to be residents of North Cadbury and more than one Number can be bought.

The odds are good – three prizes each month and an extra one annually for each ticket out of an expected maximum of 200 in the draw. Through the funds it raises, the 200 Club supports all the activities that use the Village Hall. The monthly draw is the chance for a very relaxed social gathering before the exertions of the weekend begin. Anyone can come along for a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits, including children, family and friends of Lucky Number Holders.

To join the Club and get your Lucky Number please contact Ann and Mike Lynch at Chanters, High Street, North Cadbury, BA22 7DP (Telephone 01963 441488). As from 1st May 2006 they will take over as Promoters of the 200 Club Lottery from Norman White at Sportsmans, Cutty Lane, North Cadbury BA22 7DG (Telephone 01963 440923).

Completed forms can be left with Ann and Mike (or call 441488 for collection) or with Ted and April at the Village Shop.
